Being part of and driving a larger healthcare ecosystem is essential to Cambio. Both Cambio and our customers rely on the expertise of our partners in various ways. At Cambio, a number of different partners play a role in meeting diverse needs – for us and for our customers. We often refer to four main categories of partners within our ecosystem:
Product Partners
Product partners provide applications, solutions, and services that form part of Cambio’s product and service portfolio. These products or services are developed by an external partner rather than by Cambio. They are often niche solutions requiring specialist knowledge in a specific area. These products or services are deeply integrated with the COSMIC electronic health record system.
An example of a product partner is Microsoft (Nuance) and their service Dragon Medical One (DMO), which is offered under the name COSMIC Speech Recognition in Cambio’s portfolio. (Speech recognition is an AI service that quickly converts speech into text in real time.) Another example is PC PAL, specialists in growth charts. PC PAL’s GrowthXP modules provide a library of growth charts where the child’s data is retrieved directly through an integration with COSMIC and visualised in PC PAL’s charts within COSMIC.
Technology Partners
Technology partners provide services that enhance Cambio’s technology stack, offer technical expertise, and/or supply technology resources. This also includes our infrastructure partners. Cambio refers to its technology partners as the backbone of the COSMIC product and service. Examples of Cambio’s technology partners include Red Hat, Microsoft, Dynatrace, and Citrix.
Commercial Reseller Partners
Commercial reseller partners extend Cambio’s market reach, improve sales opportunities, enable co-marketing, and/or support strategic engagements. They share common commercial goals with Cambio. This category includes various licence partners whose licences Cambio resells, such as Pexip licences for video meetings.
API/COS Partners
Cambio’s newest partner category is API/COS partners. Through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) in Cambio Open Services (COS), external partners can integrate with COSMIC. This open architecture enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the creation of innovative healthcare solutions.
Partners who have built an integration via an API in COS are called API/COS partners. An example is StretchCare and their application Blå appen, which is integrated with COSMIC through several APIs.
All COS/API partner integrations are certified by Cambio through an integration certification process. Once certified, they become available to all COSMIC customers via Cambio Open Services. Cambio does not sell these applications; they are purchased directly from the respective COS/API partner.
Other Partners
Cambio also participates in other open ecosystems by acting as a partner in other vendors’ products, solutions, and ecosystems. We call this an Outbound Partner model. In these cases, Cambio software is used as part of another vendor’s service or product. An example is Cambio’s collaboration with VirtualCare.
