Cambio acquires Leapscribe, an ambient scribe-company, taking an important step toward more efficient healthcare

Cambio, a leading provider of eHealth solutions in the Nordics, is acquiring the innovation company Leapscribe. The company has developed an AI assistant that automatically generates medical notes during patient consultations, freeing up time and simplifying work for healthcare professionals without compromising patient safety or privacy. The goal is for the AI-assistant to become an integral part of the electronic health record (EHR) system Cambio COSMIC. The acquisition aligns with Cambio’s ambition to drive the development of a digital ecosystem for smarter and more patient-centered care.

Leapscribe consists of a team of healthcare professionals, innovators, and engineers passionate about improving healthcare through technology. Founded in Umeå, the company has developed an AI-powered digital assistant that automatically converts spoken dialogue during patient visits into structured medical notes by recording the conversation between doctor and patient. The recording is processed in real time and then deleted to protect patient privacy.

The acquisition takes effect 30^th of June 2025.
